Are There Genealogy Blogs Out There…?

I had done a quick peruse the other day to get an idea if it would be beneficial to post genealogical information on a blog.  Here’re some links concerning genealogy and blogging, along with some personal genblogs.

High-profile, General Genealogy Blogs:

Eastman’s Online Genealogy Newsletter.  (Dick Eastman’s gen blog) “A newsletter for genealogy consumers, packed with straight talk, hold the sugar coating–whether the vendors like it or not!”

Genealogy Blog.  Probably the highest profile, hardest working genealogy blog out there posting on general gen info.

Genealogy and How.  “Daily blog of what’s new in genealogy”.

Some Other General Blogs:

Olive Tree Genealogy Blog.  “Updates and news about Olive Tree Genealogy and other websites FREE genealogy records. Helping you find your family tree and ancestry.”

Ohio Genealogy Blog.  Manned by Wally Huskonen. “This is a weblog about genealogy in and about the State of Ohio.”

Genealogy Help, Please!  Uhm…Looks like an update blog of some sort for Ancestory.com.

Family Tree Magazine’s online site has a little info and links on blogging genealogy.

Students of Descent.  I think it’s a hybrid of a general and personal genealogy site.

RandomGenealogy.com.  I like the looks of this one.

Some Personal Gen Blogs:

Treesearches, the genblog of Teresa in NY.

The Town Down the River, “Family and genealogical information on Ken McLintock (1920-2000) and Stella Leonard Block (1929-2003).”  Lots of pictures and personal stories.

Geneablogie, the genblog of Craig Manson of CA.

I found Arkhold.com to be a wonderful service. Its an endowed website company. I paid a fee and they endow it to pay for my website forever. It puts my mind at ease to think future generations can add on and learn from my research. Check it out, its amazing. Deborah
