I know, I know. Fall has some beautiful aspects to it, what with the leaves changing color, etc. But I find it hard to enjoy the season as I know it’s only a prelude to a looong winter. Blah.
That’s sorta the way we feel about summer down here in Texas town.
The beginning of summer is only a long prelude to HOT HOT HOT.
OH….and adorable illustration!!!
Love his face!
I hope bunny cheers up about those falling leaves. There are some fun things about fall like Halloween and Thanksgiving turkey (better than rabbit stew) and family stuff around Christmas and presents to buy and stuff you can do with new fallen snow. Of course, after New Years it gets kind of grey and depressing until spring.
Out here in Vancouver I wish we had more snow in the city. Of course that can get messy and sloppy pretty fast. Fall here is pretty nice generally. It is my favourite season. It stays nice usually until November. Then it rains until March.
Thanks for coming by my blog. I apologize that it is complicated to post there. But I thank you for your effort. You know I love your work.
PS – I found my lost umbrella at the hairdressers!
Mary S.: Thanks! Hailing from Corpus, I know of which you speak! I hated the lengthy summers and non-wintery winters. But after living going through many a Montreal winter, I find myself presently missing the climate. Spring comes too late up here (usually the end of April), and snow gets pretty darn old after a while. But this is the time of year I start to moan about it. Once we get further along, I should be used to the idea and not feeling down about it. : )
Diana: Thanks! He is a cutie-patooty, I think!
Mary Jane: Yeees…I think I’d be okay living out winter in Vancouver. Hey, I’ve seen pictures of flowers blooming in Nov–and even December! And then spring ones in late Feb! I could live with that. I’m sure the rainy season can be a drag after a while. Or is it always rainy season? Oh, and it’s not a problem to post to your blog. Just blogs that don’t have a “name/url” option, and I don’t know if that changed recently on your blog or not. Did it? Thanks for commenting here! I appreciate it!
Soon as I saw that title I knew I was going to comment: Fall. Bleh. It just means winter is right there waiting to make us miserable.
Nice to know I’m not alone!
