Sketches: Blues in the Park

I bicycled to another concert last night, this one being fairly close by. The Kevin Mark Blues Band played outside on the grounds at Stewart Hall in Pointe Claire, Quebec. I did some sketching, but not of the band. I struggled a lot, trying to like what was coming out on the paper, but unsuccessfully so. That’s how it goes sometimes. The music was great though. This is one of (many) things I like about summer.

Below: Video sample of The Kevin Mark Blues Band playing yesterday evening.

Everything’s good about summer. I think it’s so cool you have those concerts out in the west island.

I really like the new look by the way

Jazz: Me too. Anything like this going on in your neck of the concrete woods? And thanks about letting me know what you think of the look. I’m going to be playing around with it a lot.

Oh, how funny. I did art classes at Stewart Hall when I was 6. (I grew up in the West Island).

Leaving in 2 days for Montreal! Catching up with Susan on Wednesday, hope I get to see you too….

Hooray for multimedia! I love the video function on the little camera. Still haven’t mastered computer colours. My disk of “painter” packed with the wacom bamboo crapped out.

Maybe I need something more hi-res than the bamboo, but I still enjoy the watercolours. And mastering those is enough!
