Illustration Friday: “Star Gazing”

Oh, I dunno. : ) I wanted to practice doing a cartoon and this is what fell out of my brain when I did. Let me know if it works or not. I didn’t think it through too much or I would have not done it at all. That’s the way I am.

I love how the stars really do look like they’re floating.

The cartoon works in a morbin, end-of-the-world, apocolyptic kinda way. ;->

Hey, were you there last night? We looked for you, but didn’t see you in the crowd.

Absolutely it works! Reminds me of my six year old. Anything is good as long as it’s blowing up.

I laughed out loud too. Worked for me. Sometimes spontaneity garners the best solution.

Hey all…Thanks for your great comments! I’m glad to hear it’s working! I resized the piece so it can be better seen, so maybe that will help it’s appeal…

Barbara & Jennifer: I’m glad it made you laugh! Jennifer, gotta watch what we’re eating/drinking when we’re on the internet, eh? : D

Patti: Yes, morbid…apocolyptic…Definitely what I was going for here! Heh! So you mean at the Dorval concert? I was going to sail, then I just stayed nearby and went out sketching. I thought about going. Was it good? I’m sorry to have missed the last one in the series. Now we have to wait until next July!

Carla: I thought the same thing. Kinda of a “boys will be boys” way of thinking!

Jazz: Creepy stars-guys! That’s what they are.

Diana: Ah! Big Bang humor! There ya go!

Yup, Dorval. Was it really the last one? Sigh… Is that the case for B’field and Pte. Claire too? The season is too short, especially give all the rained out, chased-indoors concerts.

It was okay. They had a CCR kind of feel, something I’m not a big fan of. Sorry to have missed the Celtic concert. I’m going to try to make it to Stewart Hall tonight.

Patti: Yup. Last week for all of them, I think. Not sure about Baie D’Urfe, though. Tonight is classical at Stewart Hall as well as Romeo and Juliet at Centennial Park. Two choices! I’m going sailing, however. Might be back in time to cycle down to one or the other! Have fun at Stewart!

Eric: Merci! I appreciate you letting me know, guy!
