Remember diving in a pool for coins? I miss these types of games. But I always got water up my nose and made my sinuses burn. Good memories. : )
Oh…And the fence is an after-thought. I was thinking how an art director would probably say, “Great illo, but we need to see a fence around the pool.” Safety first.

The safety first is a good idea …. so guess there will be no illustrations of jumping off the house onto an old mattress or swinging from the tree over cars as they passed on the street… LOL… china berry fights, shows in the backyard…. now THOSE are fond memories…

So sweet! All the kids are adorable.
Great illustration! Love the expressions on the kids faces.
HI Paula–sweet illo. You got the water transparency just right, and I love her busy little legs. Colors are cool and refreshing. I actually like the fence–it brings back memories of that little clanking sound it makes when kids are climbing over it.
Leslie: Ha ha! Yes, memories! Did you swing out over the cars? I don’t know if I was the only one to that or not. Hoo boy! Thanks for leaving a comment!
Cindy: I appreciate your comment! Thank you!
Claire: Glad I got the expressions right! Thanks for noticing!
Nancy: Thanks! Ah, yes…I can just hear that sound myself! Hurricane fences, is what we call the down south!
