…But instead I’m drawing nonsense.
I’ll just consider these warm-up drawings. I’ve been sitting outside working for a while but now it’s time to pack it up and do some lunch!
I recognize the phone, I recognize the chair and nonsense? That’s always good.
Having fun and drawing things that tickle your fancy is a good thing. I trust lunch was delicious? I love your red cat and that ugly chair is exactly like one I stashed away because it is so ugly. I think it is indestructable. Actually it is quite comfortable and I suppose a nice cushion would help with the look of it.
I’m in the same predicament, I should be working but will be sketching whatever tonight while watching a Matlock rerun. Too tired to paint in the hot attic studio after the day job. Tomorrow I’ll get up there early!
I found your blog through LinkedIn, glad I did to see your mindset is where mine is lately, just wanting to sketch for the fun of it.
Jazz: “Nonsense” has it’s place, yuppers. Particularly if it’s coated in fur. I’m not making sense… : )
Mary Jane: I was not wanting to draw something work-related so drew what-ever! Only the red cat tickled my fancy. As far as those chairs go, ugly but indestructable can be good, depending on how you look at it, hmmm? I agree. A cushion could go a long way to counter it’s “ugly” rep.
Suzanne: I’m so happy you found me, and most grateful you left a comment to let me know! I, too, would shun a hot room–ANYWHERE–to work in! Miserable! Bah! Time to move your studio to the basement (or wherever the cool air is) until the hotness of summer is over. Thanks again for coming by!
