The Raccoons Come For Dinner

There were six on the porch last night, and seven the night before. I must remember to bring in the cat food in the evening.

    Wow Paula,

We had them living under our front porch on Delmar in Pte Claire. My Dad soaked a rag with gasoline lit it and presented it to them when they were rummaging around in the garbage can. They NEVER came back. But Sama, our Samoyed, would every once in a while find a skunk!!!

Yep… leaving cat food out is a big no no. Better raccoons than skunks, though.

The other weekend at the cottage there was one on the front balcony (going for the birdseed I guess) He climbed two storeys up the side of the house to get there. I DO NOT want raccoons climbing up the house. But they’re so cute!

Thanks, you guys. :) It seems the ‘coon/skunk problem is a universal experience! I appreciate you all sharing!
