(Yesterday’s lunch from Howard’s BBQ, down town Corpus Christi Texas. Thanks, Buck & Jimmy!)
I had never heard of brisket until we moved to Texas. Hope you are enjoying your stay in the great state!
Now you have me drooling… I just might short out my keyboard!
Nice appetizer… what was for lunch?
SOLD! Next time I visit Corpus I’m going to Howard’s BBQ. I pity the folks who’ve never enjoyed BBQ plates like the one pictured. YUM!
I’m not sure what those meat things are but those beans look like the baked beans in a tin we have here!
Heather: Is that right? I just grew up with it. BBQs were a regular routine and the brisket took all day for the men to cook/smoke. Good times!
Jazz: Ewe! Sorry ’bout that!
Lucy: So many good bbq places, even in your area, yes? Where do you think the best is up there?
Jessie: Yes, the beans look like canned, but they’re soaked, seasoned and simmered for a unique southwestern flavor. So good!
