Another sketch from June 1986, during a bicycle tour in Central Texas. I drew this at noon on June 9th at Blanco State Park, in Blanco, Texas. The park is named for the refreshingly cold Blanco River that is the central feature of the park. I’m guessing that it took us about 2.5-3 hours to cylce from Kreutzberg Hall to the state park. My note says:
“Hey, if you’d just had a Hunger Buster & a large chocolate shake and pedaled a hard (underscored) 33 miles, you’d do this too!”
We were happy and content cyclo-tourists at this point. But hours/days of cycling were still ahead of us…
Super illustration! I love the ‘liquid’ looking water feature!
The cyclists appear so content (or is it exhausted?)
Deb: We were pretty exhausted, but content at this point! Thanks for your comment!
